Cybercrime cell of Rajkot police has signed an MOU with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) to control cybercrime. This was announced by CM Vijay Rupani at a ceremony held at Rajkot.

Students will appeal to stay from social media In August 2018, the team has organized 3 workshops in the Gandhinagar District and 1 workshop in Ahmedabad District where more than 838 students participated and 32 teachers participated. The motivation to start the awareness program in villages was by Mr. Sanajay Srivstav, ADGP (Law & Order), Gujarat state and they helped the team with a resource person from Cyber Crime Branch, Gandhinagar.
IIT-Bombay Trust Lab Program Director Mr. Mukul Joshi visited the GTU-Graduated School of Engineering and Technology and had a session for the utilization of IIT-Bombay trust lab for further research in various computer/IT domains. Gujarat Technology University (GTU) has started a new mission“E-Surksha Abhiyan”(GTU-Cyber Security and Digital Awareness mission) for school students under ISEA activities.The guest present in the program were D.D.Rehvar(PSI (PSI of cyber cell),Dr. Makarand Karakre(Director of GTU),Deepak Upadhyay(Project coordinator, Prof-GTU),Khushank Gohil(cyber expert) ,Henil Kolarvala(Cyber Expert) andShree Baladevbhai Patel (Principal of M. B .Patel sarvjanik vidhyalay,vavol).

  Gujarat Technological University under ISEA– Phase II, Project of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has conducted a cyber security workshop for the awareness of the recent cyber crimes.
 Prof. Deepak Upadhyay as ISEA CO– Chief Investigator (GTU) conducted workshop at Border Security Force, Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan.
This workshop was 1050 KM far from Gujarat Technological University and approx. 65 officials were present during the workshop.
